Drone captures tornado aftermath in Alabama

At least 23 people are dead including children after a tornado plowed through a rural Alabama community. Residents are left to deal with homes smashed to their foundations, shredded metal dangling from trees and dead animals lying in the open.

Americans have been twice as likely to experience record-breaking heat than record-setting cold, Associated Press data analysis shows. It counted the times daily hot temperature records were tied or broken compared to daily cold records.
