3rd person charged with murder in 2023 fatal shooting at Macon mobile home park
A third person was charged with murder Wednesday, in connection with a 2023 fatal shooting in a Macon mobile home community, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Dontae Antez Brown, a 22-year-old Macon man, was wanted in connection with the death of David Lamar Morgan, 58, who was shot and killed on Oct. 4, 2023, at Safe Haven Mobile Home Park at 1294 Glendale Avenue.
The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Brown just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Brown was also wanted for terroristic threats, second degree criminal damage to property and a state court bench warrant out of Bibb County, deputies said.
He was being held without bond at the Bibb County Jail.
Two other Macon men, Tylon Andrevious Alexander, 19, and Tyrone Jerry Briscoe, 44, were charged with murder in July in connection with Morgan’s death.
The shooting is still under investigation, deputies said.
