Macon teen arrested, charged with murder in mobile home shooting, deputies say

A Macon teenager was arrested Monday and charged with murder after a fatal shooting in 2023, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Another suspect also was arrested a week ago in connection to the alleged murder.

David Lamar Morgan, a 58-year-old Cochran man, was shot and killed on Oct. 4, 2023, at Safe Haven Mobile Home Park at 1294 Glendale Avenue in Macon.

Tylon Andrevious Alexander, 19, was arrested just before 11 a.m. Monday by the U.S. Marshals’ Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Alexander was wanted in connection to Morgan’s death.

He was charged with murder and held without bond at the Bibb County Jail.

Tyrone Jerry Briscoe, a 44-year-old Macon man, was the first person arrested in connection to the fatal shooting.

The alleged murder was still under investigation Tuesday.
