Man shot in head outside Macon home actually the suspect, cops say. He has a violent past.
A man shot in the head at a Macon home in November was actually the suspect in the shooting, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to a home on Walnut Street in reference to a shooting on Nov. 5 and found 25-year-old Robreon Lee suffering from a gunshot wound in the street, the release said.
Lee was believed to be the victim at first, the release said, and nobody inside the home was injured in the shooting.
After an investigation, the sheriff’s office says Lee was the suspect in the case and initiated the shooting at the home.
Lee was arrested Monday on four counts of aggravated assault and is being held without bond.
Lee was previously indicted in 2012 for the Aug. 2011 “Sweet 16” birthday party shooting that killed Arquentris Fountain and wounded two other teens, 19-year-old Kyron Botts and 18-year-old Devin Williams. Charges against Lee were later dismissed.
Lee was also was charged with three counts of aggravated assault in the shooting of two 16-year-old Westside High School students near a school bus stop at the corner of Virginia Avenue and Storey Drive in Aug. 2011. He pleaded guilty to that shooting and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. He was released in Feb. 2016 after serving 31 months.
