Macon teen indicted in ‘Sweet 16’ killing

Bibb County grand jurors indicted a Macon teenager Tuesday on charges that he killed another teenager and shot two others outside a “Sweet 16” birthday party last year.

Robreon Javarius Lee, 17, is charged with murder and aggravated assault in the Aug. 27 shooting death of Arquentris Fountain. He also is charged with two counts of aggravated assault in the shootings of then-19-year-old Kyrod Butts and then-18-year-old Devin Williams outside a ballroom at 3670 Eisenhower Parkway, according to an indictment filed Tuesday in Bibb County Superior Court.

Lee, who was 16 at the time of the shootings, also is charged with participation in criminal street gang activity and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The killing was “for the benefit of, at the direction of and in association with the street gang Crips,” according to the indictment.

Lee, of a West Oak Drive address, also was charged with three counts of aggravated assault in the shooting of two 16-year-old Westside High School students near a school bus stop at the corner of Virginia Avenue and Storey Drive on Aug. 24. He hasn’t been indicted on those charges, according to court records.

Lee has been held at the Bibb County jail without bond since his Sept. 2 arrest.
