Buffalo Wild Wings Go, Decadent Dessert Bar to join new spots in Warner Robins plaza
A Buffalo Wild Wings Go and a Decadent Dessert Bar are joining new restaurants and businesses now open in or coming to a new commercial plaza in Warner Robins.
Located at 1012 GA 96, the plaza is anchored by a new Brown’s Eye Center and owned by three of the team of eye doctors who practice there. They also own the Brown’s Eye Center on Russell Parkway.
Caleb McElmurray, who manages the two centers, said the vision for the new plaza was to invest in the future of Warner Robins, bring value to the community and create a plaza with “a distinctive design and vibrant atmosphere.”
The Brown’s Eye Center was the first to open in the plaza followed by Luxe Nail Spa. The other restaurants and businesses are in varied phases of development.
Here’s a look at each of the plaza restaurants and businesses:
Suite 100 — Decadent Dessert Bar
This popular fast-casual coffee and dessert bar at 1056 GA 96, Suite 200, will be moving across the street into the new shopping plaza.
“We’re expanding our space and now offering a drive-thru to make your coffee run even easier and faster,” the owners posted on Facebook. “Whether you’re in a hurry or just want to enjoy your favorite drink in the comfort of your car, we’ve got you covered!”
Interior work is underway at the new space on a corner of the shopping plaza, with updates on the transition expected to be posted on Facebook.
“Thank you for being such an amazing part of our journey so far,” the Facebook post reads. “We’ll keep you updated every step of the way as we transition to our new spot. Stay tuned for more details, and we can’t wait to welcome you into our new home soon!”
After retiring from the U.S. Air Force and returning to Warner Robins, Patrick Polowichak and his wife, Leah, with their family, opened Decadent Dessert Bar locations in Warner Robins and Macon in 2018. The Macon location later closed.
The Warner Robins location is known for its baked in-house, high-end desserts, a variety of coffees using only 100 Arabica beans and for its cozy, relaxing vibe.
Made-from-scratch dessert offerings include cake slices, cannoli, pastries, cheesecakes, skillet brownies and cookies, cupcakes and more. Decadent Desert Bar also offers gelato and pup treats.
Coffees include a host of lattes, frappes and smoothies. Also on the menu are breakfast croissants, signature toasts, waffles, lunch croissants and more.
The brand is expanding, with new locations coming to Columbus and Auburn/Opelika, Alabama. Other locations include McDonough, Modesto, California, and Fulton, Maryland.
Suite 200 — Tenmii Japanese Eatery
This fast-casual restaurant that offers authentic Japanese cuisine in north Macon is expanding with a second location in the new shopping plaza.
Tenmii Japanese Eatery is a restaurant concept developed by a Warner Robins couple, who are natives of Indonesia, with the help of their financial partner, who owns an Atlanta restaurant.
“We created Tenmii because we want to introduce more authentic Japanese food choices to the community,” said Kusmayadi “Han” Djunaidi, who owns and operates the Macon restaurant with his wife, Vita Tjhin.
Their financial partner, Thresia Wiguna, spent 1½ years researching and developing the recipes, Djunaidi said.
Tenmii Japanese Eatery was created based on an idea for fast casual Japanese food that is different from fast casual hibachi, teriyaki and sushi, Djunaidi said.
Menu items include Tenmii Pork Chashu Bowl, Sando, which is a Japanese sandwich, Miso Tofu Soup and Cold Soba Noodle Salad and more.
Their first Tenmii opened about two years ago, with the new Warner Robins location expected to open in March.
Djunaidi expects to get the new restaurant up and running and then rotate back and forth from the Warner Robins and Macon locations.
“Tenmii itself come from Japanese word tenmei — which means to bring happiness to others,” Djunaidi said. “This is our motto and our main goal — happiness toward our customers.
Suite 300 — Brown’s Eye Center
Brown’s Eye Center is one of the few locally-owned, full-scope optometry practices in Middle Georgia, co-owner, Dr. Navid Khoshooee, said in a text.
The team of eye doctors offers comprehensive eye exams, prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses and the diagnosis and management of various eye diseases, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and dry eyes, according to Khoshooee.
The practice also provides eye emergency services for conditions such as injuries, infections, foreign bodies and sudden vision changes, he said.
For parents interested in slowing the progression of nearsightedness in their children, Khoshooee noted in the text that he specializes in fitting Ortho-K lenses, which are worn overnight to reshape the cornea and provide clear vision during the day and are similar to braces for teeth.
With two of the largest optical showrooms in Middle Georgia, the practice features an extensive collection of prescription frames and sunglasses from leading designer brands such as Tiffany, Tom Ford, Gucci, Versace, Prada, Oakley, Ray-Ban, and Coach, according to Khoshooee.
Both Brown’s Eye Center locations in Warner Robins are open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays. The new location’s number is 478-287-6600. Call 478-328-0900 to reach the 1112 Russell Parkway location.
Suite 400 — Luxe Nail Spa
The new nail spa, which celebrated its grand opening Friday, promises to pamper its customers.
“Our salon is designed to provide an oasis of relaxation and beauty,” its website reads. “From the moment you step through our doors, you’ll experience a sense of tranquility and indulgence.
“Our mission is to offer more than just nail care-it’s a complete transformation into a world of elegance and comfort.”
Services include a dozen different types of pedicures ranging in price from $30 for an express pedicure to $95 for a 24K Golden pedicure, with manicures priced from $20 for natural manicure to “$35 and up” for a gel manicure to $37 for a deluxe manicure.
The nail spa also offers nail enhancements, polish change, add-ons such as a cuticle trim, “add-ons extra” such as a paraffin wax or a collagen glove for hands and feet as well as eyelash and waxing services, according to the website.
Manicures and pedicures for children also are available.
The new spot posted specials running until Jan. 31 on its Facebook page and website.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The telephone number is 478-313-5336.
Suite 500 — Vita-Fuse
Expected to open in early spring, this new business offers IV vitamin infusions, vitamin booster injections, prescription and non-prescription medical weight loss, cosmetic injectables, body contouring ketamine therapy.
“We first started out doing IV infusion therapy, so that would be anything from just fluids for patients who are dehydrated to fluids with certain vitamin cocktails,” said co-owner Amanda Cauley. “We have about 15 different formulas … infusions for energy, for illness recovery.
“We see a lot of autoimmune patients, chronic disease, elderly patients that just don’t stay hydrated and get a lot of UTIs. So really, it’s all about health and wellness,” she said.
The owners next added vitamin injections for clients who didn’t have time for the 30 to 45 minute IV process, said Cauley, whose background is in emergency room nursing.
“We do injections like B12 or Vitamin D or combination shots that would help for specific things as well as immune boosting, energy, weight loss, and then we added a weight loss section. We do anything from the Adipex prescriptions to the Semaglutide injections,” she said.
The services provided have medical oversight from a board-certified emergency medical physician, who is one of the partners, according to Cauley.
IV infusion centers have been around for a couple decades in larger markets such as Los Angeles, New York and Miami, she said.
The owners have three other fixed Vita-Fuse locations in Albany, Columbus and Thomasville, while also providing home-infusion services in Tifton, Moultrie and Albany.
The interior work for the Warner Robins location is expected to start this week, with a targeted opening in March, Cauley said.
Suite 600 — Buffalo Wild Wings Go
In 2020, the sports bar chain opened its first free-standing Buffalo Wild Wings Go designed primarily for takeout and delivery.
With a focus on speed, efficiency and quality, the takeout and delivery spin-off locations offer wings, chicken sandwiches, burgers, hand-breaded tenders and all 26 Buffalo Wild Wings sauces and dry rubs.
The new 1,350-square-foot Warner Robins location, a first for Middle Georgia, will have an order counter, pickup lines for third-party delivery and limited seating for dine-in, said franchise owner Sam Patel.
Architects are now working on the interior design, with the interior construction and permitting to follow, Patel said. He estimated that the new wing spot may open by the end of May or in early June.
“It’s mostly just for takeout,” Patel said. “But rarely, we get a few people that want to sit down. We don’t sell alcohol — just food.”
He chose the new plaza for the new wing spot because of its “prime location.”
“We’re hoping for everybody in the community to help us grow and offer the best food options,” Patel said. “We want people’s opinions.
“We want to know what people want in the area as well, and we also want people’s reviews when we open up. We want to know if there’s anything we could grow or anything else we could do to make it better.”
Patel expects to open five additional Buffalo Wild Wing Go locations, with his first expected to open in Valdosta ahead of the Warner Robins location.
He’s also opening six Jimmy John’s sandwich shops, also under the umbrella of Inspire Brands, in Florida. His first opened in Ocala, Florida. Additionally, Patel has two convenience stores/gas stations with Krispy Krunchy Chicken restaurants inside in the Savannah area.
Suites 700 & 800 — Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza & Taproom
New to Georgia, this Florida-based restaurant brand that specializes in wood-fired pizza and self-serve taprooms is expected to open in late spring/early summer.
The new spot is brought to you by friends and franchisees Nimesh Patel and Darshil Patel of Warner Robins, Jigar Patel of Macon and Divyansh Prajapati of McDonough.
Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza & Taproom offers 12 signature pizzas, or customers may build their own from more than 30 cheese, vegetable and meat toppings.
The pizza dough and sauce are made in-house with meats and veggies that are sliced fresh. Pizzas can be baked in about two minutes in the oven that’s fueled by aged oak wood that heats up to 900 degrees.
The restaurant and taproom also offers a few starters, salads and desserts.
To track purchases at the taproom wall, customers receive RFID enabled bracelets after an ID check.
The Warner Robins location is expected to have 30 taps of craft and domestic beer, mixed cocktails and wine. Five of the taps will change periodically.
Guests are charged by the ounce, which leaves them free to sample the variety of offers on the taproom wall.
The restaurant and taproom will feature an indoor-garage door patio that’s expected to be opened in the spring and summer.
A Macon location is also planned.
“Our plans already are to expand, but as of now, our main focus is on getting the Warner Robins location open, and then from there on, we’ll have more updates on where the other location will be taking place in Macon,” Nimesh Patel said.
Suite 900 — DosBros Fresh Mexican Grill
Sanjay “Sunny” Patel and his wife, Keyuri “Kelly,” who make their home in Warner Robins, are the franchise owners of the quick-serve, Tex-Mex restaurant. They both like to cook and serve people and expect to be hands-on in the restaurant, their first.
The interior work is expected to start this week, with an anticipated opening in late March depending on how that goes, Patel said.
Customers can choose proteins from chicken, steak, carnitas pork, barbacoa beef or spicy tofu with a wide selection of toppings including rice, beans, salsa, guacamole and more to build their own burritos, bowls, salads, nachos, tacos and quesadilla.
DosBros promises meats with no hormones added, peppers fire-roasted on site, food cooked in rice bran oil, guacamole made with 100% Hass avocados, salsa made-from-scratch every day, whole beans soaked and cooked on site daily, chips cooked in non-GMO sunflower oil and cheese shredded off the block. The restaurant also has vegetarian and gluten-free options.
The restaurant chain was founded by Kush Shah and Milan Patel in Cleveland, Tennessee, in 2015.
