Fast-growing Mexican grill, popular Japanese eatery opening in new Warner Robins center

A second location of a popular Japanese restaurant in Macon and a fast-growing Tex-Mex restaurant chain making its debut in Middle Georgia are both coming to a new shopping center in Warner Robins.

The 20,000-square-foot center is under construction at 1012 Ga. 96 near Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux at Rigby’s Entertainment Complex.

Tenmii Japanese Eatery and DosBros Fresh Mexican Grill have both signed leases for space in the center, said Kevin Harkins of The Summit Group.

Two additional restaurants may lease space in the center, each having signed a letter of intent, Harkins said. One would serve up coffee and breakfast while the other burgers and wings.

Also, three other businesses have signed on the dotted line to move into the center, according to Harkins.

DosBros Fresh Mexican Grill

This quick-serve, Tex-Mex restaurant offers build-your-own burritos, bowls, salads, nachos, tacos and quesadillas, according to its website.

Customers can choose proteins from chicken, steak, carnitas pork, barbacoa beef or spicy tofu with a wide selection of toppings including rice, beans, salsa, guacamole and more.

With phrases like “ingredients matter” and “eat clean,” DosBros promises meats with no hormones added, peppers fire-roasted on site, food cooked in rice bran oil, guacamole made with 100% Hass avocados, salsa made-from-scratch every day, whole beans soaked and cooked on site daily, chips cooked in non-GMO sunflower oil and cheese shredded off the block.

The restaurant’s offerings include vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Sanjay “Sunny” Patel and his wife, Keyuri “Kelly,” who make their home in Warner Robins, are the franchise owners of the new restaurant.

They both like to cook and serve people and expect to be hands-on in the restaurant, their first.

The restaurant chain was founded by Kush Shah and Milan Patel in Cleveland, Tennessee, in 2015.

Tenmii Japanese Eatery

Just over a year and a half ago, the first Tenmii opened at 1625 Bass Road, Suite 330, in the North Macon Plaza.

“We got a lot of support from this community here in Macon and a lot of people from Warner Robins was asking if we were going to go there. So, we finally find a location,” said Kusmayadi “Han” Djunaidi, who owns and operates the restaurant with his wife, Vita Tjhin.

The Warner Robins couple, natives of Indonesia, developed the concept for the restaurant with the help of their financial partner who owns an Atlanta restaurant.

They wanted to introduce more authentic Japanese food choices to the community that are different from fast casual hibachi, teriyaki and sushi.

Their financial partner, Thresia Wiguna, spent a year and a half researching and developing the recipes, Djunaidi said.

Diners can expect dishes such as Japanese Kare, Chizu Cheese, a Tenmii Pork Chashu Bowl, Chicken Donburi Bowl and Sando with Tofu.

According to the menu, the pork for the Tenmii Pork Chashu Bowl is slow-braised for 36 hours in shoyu, a Japanese-style soy sauce.

The couple is experienced in the restaurant industry. Their first restaurant was in New York City’s Manhattan where they owned and operated a franchise Subway shop. Djunaidi also helped open a fast-casual Greek restaurant that he managed in New Jersey.

A mix of other businesses

Three other businesses have signed leases to move into the center, including:

• Vita-Fuse — This physician-supervised business offers multiple, 30-minute IV options, including for dehydration and Vitamin D deficiency, according to its website. Also offered are vitamin booster shots, both prescription and non-prescription medical weight loss, cosmetic injections, body contouring and Ketamine therapy for depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.

• Brown’s Eye Center — This business that offers comprehensive eye exams, eyewear and contact lenses is relocating to a larger space in the new center from its current location at 678 Lake Joy Road, according to Harkins.

• Lush Nail Salon — This business is expected to be a full-service nail salon.

Construction of the center is expected to be completed by the end of August or early September, with each business then having 90 days to build out its space, Harkins said. That fits with Djunaidi’s expectations of opening Tenmii in early 2025.
