Jack in the Box and more join development boom along Perry Parkway in Perry
A Jack in the Box is popping up amid the explosion of development along the Perry Parkway in Perry.
Bids have closed for the new construction of the restaurant at 262 Perry Parkway, signaling the new building could be going up soon. Site preparation has already begun.
Jack in the Box is known for its diverse menu choices, including burgers, tacos, chicken sandwiches, milkshakes, breakfast and late-night snacking options.
The new Perry location is part of a franchise development agreement to open 15 new Jack in the Box restaurants across Georgia.
The first Jack in the Box restaurant in Georgia opened in Hinesville on Dec. 15.
The new locations are expected to offer dine-in, drive-thru and mobile ordering options, according to a Jack in the Box news release announcing the burger chain’s entry into the Peach State.
The new locations also are expected to be open 24 hours a day, according to the release. An opening date hasn’t been confirmed.
More Jack in the Box locations may be coming to Middle Georgia

What else is going up along the Perry Parkway?
The new Perry location, which is across the street from McDonald’s, is in the middle of sprawling development along North Perry Parkway.
The Jack in the Box is expected to be built between two other new buildings going up: a Valvoline oil change facility and Perry Crossing, an 8,400 square foot multi-tenant building.
Perry Crossing is already courting a new restaurant for one its four tenant spaces, according to its promotional flyer.
Also, a new shopping plaza is up next to the Perry Parkway Project shopping center that’s anchored by a convenience store and gas station at the intersection of South Houston Lake Road and Perry Parkway.
Leasing for the new shopping center by the Dhan Group in Warner Robins is expected to start soon.
From left to right along North Perry Parkway, what’s expected to go up next to the new shopping center is a Five Star Credit Union, then the Valvoline, Jack in the Box and Perry Crossing.
In the Perry Parkway Project, which includes two shopping centers, Olive & Ivy Wellness is the latest business to open. It’s next to Holy Pie! Pizzeria. A Surcheros Fresh Mex is also coming to the same shopping center.
Also, a sign is now up for the new Dunkin’ that features Baskin-Robbins and a drive-thru in the Perry Parkway Project shopping center anchored by a conveniences store and gas station.
The Dunkin’ is next to the new Meridian Brunch & Bar, which could open as early as next month.
Nearby, in The Encore at the Perry Parkway shopping center, KidStrong and Inspire Pilates are already open. El Metate Mexican restaurant is also among the tenants coming to this two-building shopping plaza.
The entrance to Lennar at The Encore, a new live-and-play community offering new single-family homes and townhomes is just north of The Encore shopping center.
Additionally, it’s impossible to miss that site work has begun on the new 118,337-square-foot Kroger Marketplace on a 24-acre site at the corner of South Houston Lake Road and the Perry Parkway.
The Kroger Marketplace site plan includes an attached 10,800-square-foot shopping strip, a Kroger Fuel Center, a 1-acre retention pond, parking lots, driveways, unloading areas and five to-be-developed outparcels, according to planning documents.
