A dozen-plus new restaurants & businesses open, coming to Warner Robins & Perry
A host of new restaurants and businesses are now open or coming soon to Warner Robins and Perry.
In the mix are a craft beer bar, new restaurants, coffee shops, an ice cream shop, a Western store, a unique gift shop, and more.
Also, a Perry pizza place is changing its name, an Italian restaurant in Warner Robins has closed permanently, and the old Chick-fil-A building in Perry is no more.

A new craft beer bar is coming to Warner Robins
A Brass Tap is the first announced business coming to the new Shops at Aria off Russell Parkway in Warner Robins.
The craft beer bar announced on Facebook that it’s “tapping soon” at Suite 600.
“Beer lovers, we want you input,” the post reads. “Our in-house beer expert is building the tap list right now and we want your picks.
“We love featuring local + regional brews, so tell us what you want on tap!”
New ice cream shop in downtown Perry
A new ice cream shop in downtown Perry that offers ice cream made in-house is open in the former Sweet P’s location in downtown Perry.
Scoopology at 757 Carroll St. also offers specialty desserts, smash burgers, hot dogs, salads, fries, onion rings and Coca-Cola products.
Similar types of restaurants have occupied that space at the corner Carroll and Jernigan streets for years, including most recently, Sweet P’s; before than, Schultze’s Old Fashioned Soda Shop; and before Shultze’s, A Couple of Jerks Soda Fountain Shop.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
New Mexican grill going up in Warner Robins
Motorists passing by Turner’s Furniture off Ga. 96 in Warner Robins may have been wondering about construction in the store’s parking lot.
According to site plans, a new Chipotle Mexican Grill is under construction.
Headquartered in Denver, this fast casual restaurant chain is known for customizable burritos, tacos, burrito bowls and salads. The company bills itself to offer “responsibly sourced, classically-cooked, real food with wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.”
New brunch spot with a bar coming to Perry
The sign is up for Meridian Brunch Bar in a new shopping plaza anchored by a convenience store at the corner of Perry Parkway and Houston Lake Road.
A new Dunkin’ with a drive-thru is also expected to open in the same shopping plaza with an additional space available for rent.
New spot in Warner Robins specializes in lobster rolls
Tucked away in a small space at 100 B North Pleasant Hill Road, Tia’s Maine Lobster Rolls offers a streamlined menu of lobster rolls, “UFO burgers” and chicken in a waffle.
The menu includes two types of lobster rolls, burgers sealed inside a bun, hence the name, “UFO burgers,” a Maine shrimp roll, lobster grilled cheese, a chicken burger, chicken wrapped in waffles and more.
The new spot is just north of the intersection of Watson Boulevard and North Pleasant Hill Road.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The number is 478-354-4234.
Family-owned pizza place in Perry seeks new name
Family-owned and operated Home Slice Pizza at 717 Commerce St. in downtown Perry is asking Santa for a new name after a trademark issue with a Texas restaurant by the same name.
To avoid Santa’s naughty list, the pizza restaurant posted on its Facebook page a couple of names owners are considering and asked customers for suggestions.
Two names owners have suggested include Throwin’ Dough Pizza or Perry Pizza Connection. Other names suggested by fans include Perrydise Pizza, Home Run Pizza, Downtown Dough, Railway Pizza Co., Slice of Heaven and more.
Co-owner LeAnn Register said they expect to start 2026 under their new name.
New Western store offers something for the whole family
Saddle up cowboys and cowgirls, a Boot Barn is open in the former JOANN Fabric and Crafts location in Warner Robins.
The new store at 2951 Watson Boulevard offers a diverse selection of Western and work wear: boots, clothing, accessories and fashion for men, women and children.

Work is underway for new Tex-Mex spot in Perry
The build-out, the process of tailoring a space for a specific use, is now underway for the new Surcheros in the same new shopping plaza as the new Holy Pie! Pizzeria at 1818 Houston Lake Road.
The quick-serve restaurant chain is known for its made-to-order Tex-Mex burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, salads and burrito bowls. Guests can choose from a variety of meats, toppings and sauces.
A Milledgeville family is behind the new Surcheros, which is now targeted to open in April in Suite 900.
New Robins Poke & Ramen close to opening
First cousins Yazhen “Jenny” Dong and Bin Dong are close to opening their first restaurant from scratch in Warner Robins.
Robins Poke & Ramen at 840 Ga. 96, Suite 2800, is next to The Peach Cobbler Factory in the Century Market Plaza.
The new restaurant will specialize in poke bowls, ramen bowls and bubble tea, also known as boba tea.
The new spot may open this month.
New authentic Mexican restaurant to open in Perry
Yuliana and Fernando Barradas are gearing up to open their fourth El Metate Mexican Restaurant, this time in Perry.
The build-out for the new authentic Mexican restaurant is underway in a new shopping plaza at 1904 Houston Lake Road.
The new shopping center is in the front of The Encore, a new 280-unit live-and-play community across from the intersection of Houston Lake and Lake Joy roads.
The couple opened a restaurant by the same name earlier this year in Warner Robins. Their other locations are in Tifton.
New coffee spot in Warner Robins inches closer to completion
A new 5,500-square-foot Red Owl Coffee Company with a dining area and drive-thru is nearing completion at 1272 South Houston Lake Road in Warner Robins.
The popular national coffee brand offers daily brews, espresso and frappe blends, signature coffee drinks called “Red Owl Customs,” teas, smoothies, milkshakes, hot coco, steamers, energy drinks, bagels, sandwiches, a power bowl and muffins, according to the menu.
A seafood restaurant is expected to be built next door.
New Japanese steakhouse is coming to Perry
A temporary sign hangs on the former Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar at 100 Valley Drive in Perry announcing that a new Japanese steakhouse is coming.
Workers have been on site working on the interior of the new restaurant, identified as “Koji” on a permit issued by the city of Perry for the restoration of the 4,658-square-foot restaurant built in 1988.
Step into another realm at this new Centerville shop
The M Cave offers glowing gothic décor, massive dragons, crystal and spiritual items, alternative gifts and home decor, fantasy and replica pieces, incense candles and more, according to its Facebook page.
“If you love mystery, magic, or anything beautifully strange — come see us,” a post reads.
The unique boutique can be found at 100-J North Houston Lake Blvd. in a Centerville shopping plaza that includes a Papa Johns Pizza.
The store is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Italian restaurant closes in Warner Robins
After nearly 3-1/2 years open, Fresco Italiano at 1208 Russell Parkway in Warner Robins closed its doors permanently.
The casual fine dining restaurant was the second location of a Tifton restaurant by the same name.
A brother and sister team transformed the former Ole Times Country Buffet to create the fine dining experience. The restaurant is now for sale.
Co-owner Christian Torres of the Torres Hospitality Group could not be reached for comment about the closing.
Former Chick-fil-A location in Perry demolished
After operating at 1363 Sam Nunn Blvd. for nearly 30 years, Perry’s Chick-fil-A opened in a new bigger, updated and more accessible restaurant in 2022.
The restaurant at 1600 Sam Nunn Boulevard west of Interstate 75 continues to do a brisk business.
The old restaurant at 1600 Sam Nunn Blvd. was torn down last month make room for a new Aspen Dental.
