Thirty people were charged Wednesday in connection to a nearly two-year drug and gang investigation in Warner Robins, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Warner Robins Police Department.

Local and state law enforcement agencies searched seven locations Wednesday in Warner Robins, where they found the suspects, and seized drugs, guns and cash, according to Mandy Stella, public information officer for the city.

Officers “conducted this investigation to make an impact on the current street level drug distribution within Warner Robins and promote a safer place for productive citizens,” the GBI said in a news release Friday.

The 30 suspects range from 17 to 53 years old, according to the GBI.

Six of the 30 people were already incarcerated, and faced new charges Wednesday connected to this investigation, the GBI said. Twenty-four of them were found and taken into custody when officers executed the seven search warrants throughout the city.

All suspects were booked in the Houston County Jail, according to the state investigative bureau.

There are “ongoing efforts to disrupt organized criminal activity” in Warner Robins, Stella said.

GBI Special Agent Klay Kilcrease handled the investigation.

The GBI urged anyone with details related to drug activity to call the agency’s Middle Georgia Gang Task Force at 478-207-1301, or report anonymously at 1-800-597-8477.
