Fatal bar shooting suspect returns to Macon for court, but he’s being held elsewhere
One of the suspects charged in the deadly Macon bar shooting from May, who was previously incarcerated in South Carolina on drug charges, briefly returned to Bibb County Wednesday to face a judge for his murder charges, jail records show.
Muchman Bond III, who was accused of the murders of Javarsia Meadows, Jedarrius Meadows Jr. and Javonta Faulks, after a shooting at Midtown Daiquiri Bar and Grill on May 18, briefly returned to Bibb County Wednesday for a court appearance, Sgt. Christopher Williams confirmed Friday.
It’s unclear where Bond is being held now because “he is not housed in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center,” according to Williams.
Other than the three murder charges, Bond was also charged with aggravated assault and discharge of a firearm on or near a public highway or street, according to jail records from Wednesday.
Bond was previously housed at the Richland County jail in South Carolina after being charged by the South Carolina Highway Patrol for allegedly possessing 28 grams or less of marijuana and had a bond of $615. The status of his drug case was unclear Friday.
He is one of the four suspects accused of the shooting death that occurred at the bar. Jarrius Terrell Curry was charged with several counts of assault. A 17-year-old was also charged with three murder counts, and officers sought a suspect named Christopher Clyde Valentine Jr. in connection with the case. While Curry and the 17-year-old were arrested and jailed, Valentine died by suicide a day after deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced they were looking for him.
This is a breaking story and will be updated with further information as it becomes available.
