Jack Link’s is hiring for new $450M production facility in Perry. What you need to know

The global meat snack giant is hiring for its new $450 million production facility in Perry expected to open this summer.
This week, the company is holding a two-day career fair at the Larry Walker Arena, Building G, at Central Georgia Technical College, 80 Cohen Walker Drive in Warner Robins.
Day one is from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, and day two is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday. Job openings also may be found on the Jack Link’s website.
The company offers competitive wages, bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, according to a Jack’s Link flyer on the career fair. The flyer also lists these job functions: food safety quality, general, maintenance, production, sanitation and warehouse.
Full-time openings listed on the company’s website include a recruiter in production, a plant manufacturing engineer, production operator, sanitation specialists, cafeteria manager, continuous improvement specialist, and a maintenance technician in electrical, instrument and controls.
Additional jobs listed include a buyer, senior maintenance supervisor, FSQ micro technician, shipping receiving manager, senior supervisor in production, HACCP coordinator, network engineer, maintenance technician, maintenance planner, and maintenance technician at the wastewater treatment plant.
The openings are listed with job summaries that include hourly or annual salaries. A few pay examples include $18.75 to $25.54 an hour for a production operator, $16.96 to $23.32 an hour for a sanitation specialist, $57,125 to $78,546 annually for a buyer and $52,965 to $72,827 a year for a continuous operations specialist.

In late April 2022, Gov. Brian Kemp in conjunction with Jack Link’s company leaders and a host of local, state and federal officials announced the new plant expected to employ 800 people and be fully functional by the end of 2023.
After early delays in construction, the new plant at 720 Perry Parkway is expected to open in July. The 120-acre site rests on a former pecan field.
Headquartered in Minong, Wisconsin, Link Snacks — doing business as Jack’s Links — remains a family-owned and operated company since its small beginnings in 1985. The company celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
The company is best known for its beef jerky and their “Messin’ with Sasquatch” ads. Their beef jerky and other products can be found in stores such as CVS and Walmart in Warner Robins and Family Dollar and Kroger in Macon as well as online.
