Highway traffic was shut down after multiple people were injured in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Jones County, according to the Jones County Sheriff’s Office.

The wreck happened around 2 p.m. on Highway 22, just north of Haddock, a small residential community between Gray and Milledgeville, according to Madilyn Madray, public information officer of the sheriff’s office.

Three people were injured in the crash, Madray said. The extent of their injuries were unclear.

Deputies and first responders were at the scene by around 2:15 p.m., Sheriff R.N. “Butch” Reece said on Facebook.

The sheriff’s office initially urged drivers to avoid the area and use alternative routes, according to Facebook posts from the sheriff’s office around 2:30 p.m. The area was clear and safe to drive by around 5 p.m., Madray said.

No one faced charges related to the crash, Madray told The Telegraph.
