A child died Saturday after he and two other children were pulled from Lake Tobesofkee on May 23 in a drowning incident, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said Monday.

The boy, 8-year-old Kiheen Johnson Jeffrey, was the second child to die due to the incident. The first child, 7-year-old Tristan Cornelius, was declared dead on scene after being pulled from the lake by divers, according to news releases from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

A 10-year-old boy was pulled from the water and transported to the hospital alongside Jeffrey. The 10-year-old was released from the hospital a few days after the incident, according to the sheriff’s office.

Jeffrey, who was in critical condition, died around 3 a.m. Saturday at Atrium Health Navicent in downtown Macon, Jones said.

Investigators have not said what led up to the drownings.
