A Texas-based pizza brand new to Middle Georgia and known for its all-day, wide-variety pizza buffet is coming to a new shopping center in Warner Robins.
Pizza Inn is going in the Shops at Aria at 3151 Russell Parkway, Suites 100 & 200, in the same shopping center of The Brass Tap and new Royal Nails & Spa.
“My friend, he lives in North Carolina, he has a Pizza Inn, and he said he’s doing well, he likes it, and it’s a good franchise, so that’s why we did it,” said Sanjay Patel, who owns the future Pizza Inn franchise restaurant with business partner, Jayesh Patel.
The men chose the new shopping center for their restaurant because it’s in a fast-growing area that includes neighborhoods, a school, a Walmart Neighborhood Market and other shops.
He and his wife, Nayna, also are among the families that own The Maharaja Market, an Indian-Pakistani grocery store in Warner Robins. Additionally, the couple own a Texaco and liquor store at 2328 U.S. 41 in Perry.
What to expect at the new Pizza Inn
Billing itself as “America’s hometown pizza place for 60 years and counting,” hallmarks of Pizza Inn include its “made-from-scratch crackery original thin crust” and “tangy signature sauce,” according to its website.
Its hallmark pizza is the bacon cheeseburger, with mustard sauce topped with beef, bacon and onions with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses and pickles, according to the menu.
Among the mix of pizza choices are a BLT, a loaded potato, a spicy Asia chicken, a taco pizza, and more traditional offerings such as the Pizza Inn Special of pepperoni, beef and pork toppings, onions, mushrooms, green peppers and black olives. Dessert pizzas include chocolate chip, Bavarian cream or fruit selections.
The restaurant also serves up wings, salads, strombolis and more. The menus vary by location.
At the new Warner Robins Pizza Inn, the buffet will include multiple pizza and dessert pizza choices, wings, salads and even macaroni and cheese, Patel said.
Customers can also build their own pizza.
Those dining in may ask for a specific pizza to be made and placed on the buffet, or they can skip the pizza buffet and order off the menu.
The 4,125-square-foot restaurant will be able to seat 79 people, according to the building plan. The restaurant includes a drive-thru.
The restaurant, which is expected to open in late June or early July, will offer takeout, online ordering and third-party delivery in addition to dine-in and drive-thru, according to Patel.
The first Pizza Inn was opened by two brothers, natives of Texas, across from the Southern Methodist University campus in Dallas in 1958, according to the Pizza Inn website.
Owned by the RAVE Restaurant Group, Pizza Inn is mostly a franchise restaurant system with 96 locations across 15 states, including three in Georgia in Brunswick, Jesup and Waycross, according to the Pizza Inn website. The Warner Robins location will be the fourth in the state.
Second phase of the Shops at Aria expected to be completed this summer
The Brass Tap, Pizza Inn and Royal Nails & Spa are part of the first phase of the Shops at Aria, with one space in the shopping center still available for lease.
Mirroring the first phase, the second phase of the Shops at Aria is under construction next to The Brass Tap, a new 3,700-square-foot craft beer bar going into suites 500 and 600.
The soon-to-be constructed covered patio of The Brass Tap is expected to rest between the rows of shops of Phase 1 and Phase 2, said Pratham Patel, who owns The Brass Tap with his father, Rahul Patel, and will serve as its general manager. His father serves as managing partner.
The Brass Tap, which is also new to Middle Georgia, is expected to open in late June or early July, Pratham Patel said.
The second phase of the Shops at Aria will be able to house up to six shops ideal for restaurants, retail or medical uses, according to a promotional flyer. Construction is expected to be completed in August.
