New Aldi in Gray to celebrate grand opening with giveaway bags. Here’s more
The first 200 customers at the grand opening of the new Aldi in Gray next week can expect to receive a gift bag filled with Aldi promotional products and a gift card.
The ribbon cutting and grand opening of the new grocery store at 208 W. Clinton St. is at 8:45 a.m. April 30.
“At our new Gray Aldi store, shoppers will notice a smaller, easy-to-shop store layout filled with a carefully selected range of products to provide them with exactly what they need,” Thomas Sachtler, Aldi regional vice president, said in a news release. “As more people look for better ways to stretch their dollar further, we’re excited to bring quality groceries at the lowest possible prices to Gray.”
Known for its affordable, private-label products, Aldi is able to operate more efficiently with smaller stores, according to the release.
The rapidly growing grocery store chain also is known for its quarter deposit cart system and fast checkout in which customers bag their own groceries and save money by bringing their own bags or boxes.
Also popular among customers are the “Aldi finds,” a rotating selection of limited-time products from food to household goods.
By the end of 2028, the grocery store chain’s goal is to have 3,200 stores in operation nationwide, according to the release.
Of nearly 80 Aldi stores in Georgia, four others are located in Middle Georgia, according to the company website. Middle Georgia locations include Macon, Warner Robins, Dublin and Milledgeville.
The new Aldi is in the former Harveys Supermarket. The new store will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Customers can order online for curbside pickup or grocery delivery.
