Macon eatery voted best for date night 2 years in a row. Here’s why couples love it
The biggest date night of the year is approaching: that’s right, we’re talking about Valentine’s Day. Ahem, it’s Feb. 14, if you forgot.
And just in case you need some help this year, we’ve got you covered because we just found one of the most romantic restaurants in Macon.
We started our date night bracket with over 20 restaurants and after four rounds, you picked the best to take your sweetie to. And get this: the Macon eatery was voted the best for two years straight now.
So, which restaurant is the choice for couples? Drumroll please…
Brasserie Circa
The restaurant is located at 4420 Forsyth Road in Macon and first opened in 2013. It’s an American brasserie that features classic and contemporary French, Asian and European cuisine. There’s something for everyone’s taste on the menu - and for couples, Circa is the best around, but for more reasons than just the delicious food (as if you needed more reasons, right?).
“From our warm candlelit ambiance to our attentive service, every detail is designed to make a night out feel special,” said Kristin Zimmer, general manager at Brasserie Circa. “Circa has a cozy, upscale vibe that is perfect for meaningful conversations over a beautifully crafted meal. Whether it’s a first date, an anniversary, or just a much needed night out, we want our guests to feel relaxed and connected.”
For a romantic meal, Zimmer recommended that couples start with the Surf ‘n Turf Roll, available exclusively on Friday and Saturday nights. For the main course, Zimmer said that the 10oz Brasserie Filet and Lobster Ravioli are two of the most-loved dishes.
And of course, you can’t have a romantic dinner without a cocktail and dessert.
Zimmer said to try one of the following handcrafted cocktails: A vanilla spiced old fashioned, which is a smooth, warm and subtly sweet twist on the classic or the blueberry lemon martini because it has a refreshing, citrusy burst with just the right amount of sweetness.
And for an unforgettable end to your experience, Zimmer said to order the crème brûlée cheesecake because “it is a rich, creamy delight” or try the “warm and comforting” bread pudding.
“Both are ideal for sharing (or not!),” she said.
We’re sold.
So, next time you and your honey want a special night out on the town, Circa is the place to go.
“It’s more than just dinner; it’s a moment to enjoy each other,” Zimmer said.
