Pedro’s Tacos & Tequila Bar is now open in Macon. Look inside, see what’s on the menu
Macon’s newest restaurant is here and there will be plenty of tacos and tequila to go around.
Pedro’s Tacos & Tequila Bar, located at 4040 Riverside Drive in Macon, celebrated its grand opening Wednesday.
The restaurant, which promises to be “your soon-to-be favorite Mexican restaurant,” made several renovations to the old Cheddar’s building which closed in 2021.
The restaurant will have a “festive atmosphere” with live music and authentic, bold Mexican cuisine.
There’s even a “party room” for bigger groups, parties or other events.
“Don’t miss the chance to experience the true essence of Mexico without leaving town,” the restaurant said in a Facebook post.
The restaurant is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. from Thursday to Saturday.
So what’s on the menu?
From Mexican classics to new dishes, here’s a little preview of what’s cooking at Pedro’s:
For lunch, there are plenty of taco, burrito and enchilada combinations as well as a tasty lunch taco salad or fajitas. For something a little out of the box, lunch customers can choose from a Mexican Burger with sliced jalapeños, sliced avocado and cheese or the Pollo Loco, which is chicken breast topped with mushrooms, bell peppers and onions.
The menu also features a section full of unique cuisine, called “Pedro’s Menu.” Meals include Plato Pedro’s, which includes one chili relleno, one beef tostada, one beef enchilada, one beef taco, one burrito and one flauta; or the Happy Plate (a bed of rice or french fries with your choice of meat, and cheese dip on top).
If you’re more of a steak or seafood eater, Pedro’s offers a 12 oz. Ribeye Steak and there are numerous seafood dishes, from grilled shrimp to chopped fish fillets.
And let’s not forget the drinks. It is a tequila bar, after all.
The restaurant will have a plethora of margaritas, beer, wine and more.
