The results are in: Here’s what you chose as the best holiday celebration in Macon

The Christmas season is a busy time, filled with family get-togethers, holiday parties, parades, church programs and more.

And we know that you can’t make it to all of them or be in two places at once, so a few weeks ago we created a festive poll and asked subscribers to vote for the best holiday event in town.

We rounded up 16 events, including the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza, Nutcracker of Middle Georgia, Ingleside Church Christmas Program, Hay House Candlelight Tour, Festival of Trees, Macon Christmas Parade, Perry Christmas Parade and many more.

But which one was voted the best event for the holiday season?

Ingleside Church Christmas Presentation

Ingleside Baptist Church, located at 834 Wimbish Road in Macon, hosts an annual Christmas program, full of lights, music, wonder and holiday magic.

This year’s program was called Love Broke Through and took place Dec. 13-15. According to the Church’s blog, the program focused on the birth of Jesus and everyone who came to worship him once he was born. “When Jesus was born, those who knew he was the Savior responded in worship. Mary worshiped, shepherds worshiped, and wise men worshiped. Even “a multitude” of angels worshiped,” said Ingleside Church’s pastor, Dr. Justin Nalls.
