Country, R&B, comedy. Macon’s new amphitheater will have something for everyone

Macon has always been a legendary music spot, serving as a starting place for The Allman Brothers Band, Little Richard, Otis Redding and most recently, Jason Aldean.

Macon is the place to be for musicians and music-lovers and it’s going to get better: the new Atrium Health Amphitheater is holding its first concert in March, with plenty more to come.

Macon-Bibb County and OVG360, a division of global sports and entertainment group Oak View Group, on Tuesday announced that the region’s new amphitheater will be named Atrium Health Amphitheater. The venue will host world-class entertainment, beginning with Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top performing an inaugural concert on March 24. There will also be free community events through this partnership, including movies in the park, food truck festivals, local live music nights and more. The new partnership with Atrium Health includes an exclusive donation program which supports health-care initiatives and improvements inMiddle Georgia. Guests attending events at Atrium Health Amphitheater can support health-care philanthropy at food and beverage/concession locations throughout the venue. When: March 24 at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets: Seated tickets start at $80, lawn tickets are $40.50 (plus applicable taxes and fees). Tickets can be purchased online or at the Macon Coliseum Box Office on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Riley Green

Riley Green is coming to Macon.

Riley Green will bring his “Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour” to Macon with support from Tracy Lawrence and Ella Langley.

When: April 4 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: Seated tickets start at $62, lawn tickets are $32 (plus applicable taxes and fees). Tickets can be purchased online or at the Macon Coliseum Box Office.

Anthony Hamilton, Johnny Gill and Leela James

These R&B superstars will play at the Atrium Health Amphitheater and will be accompanied by DJ Smooth.

When: April 13 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: Seated tickets start at $79 and lawn tickets are $45 (plus applicable taxes and fees).

Turnpike Troubadours

Turnpike Troubadours are coming to Macon’s new outdoor venue.

When: April 27 at 7 p.m.

Tickets: Tickets start at $49 and can be purchased online or at the box office.

Bert Kreischer

Bert Kreischer and friends will break up the music and bring the laughs to the Atrium Health Amphitheater this summer.

When: June 12 at 7 p.m.
