A man was shot in the face. Now two men charged in the shooting face gang charges

Two Macon men were indicted Tuesday in the Dec. 15, 2016, shooting of a man off Houston Avenue in Macon.

Vashawn Demontez Berry, 22, and Myleek Amir Earley, 21, are each charged with two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of violating the state’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.

Berry and Earley are accused of shooting 26-year-old Kevin Dennard in the face and also shooting at another man, according to the indictment. Dennard was found lying in the middle of Villa Crest Avenue.

The indictment alleges Berry and Earley are associated with the Crips street gang.
