Man accused of Dream Bar & Lounge killing captured in South Carolina
A Macon man accused of shooting and killing 34-year-old Darian Brewster outside a downtown club last month was arrested Thursday in North Augusta, South Carolina, police say.
Quinten McCorey Jackson, 32, is charged with murder in connection with Brewster’s killing outside Dream Bar & Lounge on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Aug. 20. After being shot, Brewster drove himself to a hospital a few miles away where he died.
Jackson was taken in to custody just after noon Thursday by the U.S. Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force and other agencies.
Sandra Gail Thomas, of Macon, also was arrested with Jackson and is charged with hindering the apprehension of a criminal, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Both are being held in Aiken County, South Carolina, pending extradition back to Macon. The killing is still being investigated.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
