Robins boil water advisory lifted
A boil water advisory for parts of Robins Air Force Base has been lifted.
Residents of Turner Park as well as other areas at Robins had been advised to boil water before usage due to potential of contamination following a water line break.
The water is safe for consumption, according to a release issued by the base late Tuesday.
After “intense flushing” of the system, the release stated, tests conducted by the 78th Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight determined the water was safe to drink.
Interior water lines may still have residual sediment that may result in discolored water. Those impacted are advised to flush all lines for at least 10 minutes prior to usage to ensure the piping is clear of any remaining sediment.
