Potentially harmful impurities might be in the water supply in parts of Robins Air Force Base.

Low pressure after a recent water line break near Turner Park has prompted a boil water advisory in that area, the Family Campground section and buildings 1305, 1307, 1316, 1325 and 1325A, according to a base news release.

The 78th Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight advises everyone in those areas to boil water at least a minute, then allow it to cool before drinking, preparing food or washing dishes.

Water can be used for showering and hand washing, but everyone is urged to follow up with an anti-bacterial hand sanitizer to be extra safe.

Dishwashers should not be used and do not use tap water to brush your teeth, the news release advises.

Ice machines also should be emptied and people should not consume any ice made during the boil water advisory, which was posted Monday.

Boiling should continue until the advisory is lifted.
