Warner Robins lifts boil advisory
A Warner Robins boil advisory that impacted an estimated 2,300 homes was lifted Friday afternoon.
The homes are located south of Watson Boulevard, east of Pleasant Hill Road, north of Russell Parkway and west of Ga. 247, according a city news release. An estimated 6,000 people were impacted.
The advisory was issued to protect the public from a potential health hazard after possible microbiological contamination was found in a routine sampling, the release said.
The sampling was taken at a water treatment plant before the water had reached the filtration and distillation systems of the plant, according to the mayor’s office.
The water system was flushed and the advisory lifted as anticipated.
