Boil advisory includes about 2,300 Warner Robins homes
A boil advisory that impacts an estimated 6,000 people was issued Thursday for a small area of Warner Robins.
The advisory was issued by the mayor’s office and impacts about 2,300 homes.
The homes are located south of Watson Boulevard, east of Pleasant Hill Road, north of Russell Parkway and west of Ga. 247, according a city news release.
The advisory was issued to protect the public from a potential health hazard after possible microbiological contamination was found in a routine sampling, the release said.
Water should be boiled for at least one minute before drinking, cooking and preparing baby food, according to the release.
The water system is expected to be flushed and the advisory lifted at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
