Men indicted in April stickup at Mercer University apartments
Two men were indicted Tuesday in connection with an armed robbery in April at a Mercer University apartment.
D’Angelo Montell Roquemore, 20, and De’Andre Malik Thomas, 19, are each charged with armed robbery, false imprisonment and carrying weapons on school grounds in connection with the April 9 stickup at the Garden Apartments on Winship Street.
They allegedly entered an unlocked apartment about 11:30 p.m. that night and held a student at gunpoint before leaving with his Xbox video game system, computer, watch, wallet and cellphone, according to the indictment.
Roquemore, of a Thrasher Circle address, and Thomas, of a Fulton Mill Road address, were arrested five days after the alleged stickup. Roquemore remains in jail on a bond of $58,150. Thomas was released June 17 on a bond of $55,200, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
