Missing elderly Macon man found

A man who was reported missing Friday after failing to return home after leaving a local hospital has been found.

Clarence Hampton, 85, returned home and told authorities he’d been out driving after leaving Northside Hospital, off Forsyth Road early Friday morning, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Hampton had said he’d planned on going home, but was reported missing when he hadn’t arrived by Friday afternoon.
