1. Alabama: The defending national champion is the clear, easy pick here. But watch out for No. 2.

2. LSU: Les Miles almost lost his job after last season. He might have the most talented team in the conference this season.

3. Mississippi: Chad Kelly is the best quarterback in the SEC but not the country (no matter what he said at SEC Media Days).

4. Georgia: The Bulldogs are this high with a few caveats: The East Division is awful, Nick Chubb has to be healthy, and Kirby Smart has to have the right touch in his first season as the Bulldogs’ head coach.

5. Tennessee: It’s hard to buy into this being the Vols’ year after hearing that before.

6. Arkansas: Has Bret Bielema taken over for Steve Spurrier as the conference’s best interview?

7. Texas A&M: Kevin Sumlin’s program is hoping to get back on the right track.

8. Florida: The Gators will look to repeat as East champions.

9. Auburn: Gus Malzahn got a huge contract boost after a 3-9 season. That’s surprising and interesting all at the same time.

10: Kentucky: The Wildcats have won five games in each of the past two seasons.

11. Mississippi State: It’s going to be difficult for the Bulldogs to replace do-everything quarterback Dak Prescott.

12. South Carolina: Will Muschamp gets his second shot to be an SEC head coach after failing at Florida.

13. Vanderbilt: The Commodores have won just seven games total the past two seasons after winning nine in 2013.

14. Missouri: Barry Odom was promoted to head coach, but he doesn’t have much to work with this season.
