Who will be Middle Georgia’s best high school football player this year? Vote now

It wasn’t clear this summer if there would even be fall football in Georgia, but the new season kicks off this Friday. In advance of the season, the Telegraph would like to recognize some of the outstanding players around Middle Georgia.

Last season, Dublin won a state title and Warner Robins finished as the state runner-up for the third straight season. Several Middle Georgia athletes like Wesley Steiner and Romello Height signed with some of the country’s top universities. Plenty of Middle Georgia standouts will be playing on Saturdays this fall including last year’s The Telegraph’s Fan Choice Player of the Year from Mount de Sales linebacker Josiah Cotton.

We want to know which of these returning players you believe will have the best 2020 season. We picked the athletes based on their performance last season and their breakout potential this year.

Voting is open until Friday, Sept. 4, at 1 p.m. The winner of the poll will be announced on our Facebook page.

The rules for the poll are simple: you can vote once per day and share the poll as many times as you like to encourage your friends and family to vote.
