Who was the best in Middle Georgia? Vote for the girls basketball player of the year.

As the basketball season has come to a close, The Telegraph is recognizing the best players from around Middle Georgia.

Over the last week, The Telegraph had fans vote for the top boys and girls players.

Jackson’s Gabbi Cartagena took home the Fan’s Choice Player of the Year award with over 5,000 votes and 36 percent of the total vote. She finished the season with 27 points per game, 13 rebounds per game and 3 steals per game.

The poll had over 13,000 total votes. Northeast’s Jakia Little finished in second with over 4,400 votes and Washington County’s Miracle Parker coming in third place with over 1,300 votes.

The All-Middle Georgia team will be announced at a later date with the Telegraph’s staff Player of the Year award as well as the Coach of the Year award.
