Who was the best in Middle Georgia? Vote for the boys basketball player of the year.

As the basketball season has come to a close, The Telegraph is recognizing the best players from around Middle Georgia.

Over the last week, The Telegraph had fans vote for the top boys and girls players.

Washington County’s Jarden Maze took home Fan’s Choice Player of the Year award with over 1,100 votes. The Washington County guard averaged 18 points per game and 5 rebounds per game.

The poll had over 3,400 total votes. Christian Lamar of Wilkinson County finished in second with 600 votes and Central’s Quay Primas finished in third place with nearly 400 votes.

The All-Middle Georgia team will be announced at a later date with the Telegraph’s staff Player of the Year award as well as the Coach of the Year award.
