Stratford earns a rematch with Tattnall Square
The Stratford Eagles jumped out to a 21-point lead in the first half and coasted to a 35-7 win over Holy Innocents in the first round of the GHSA Class 1A private school playoffs Friday night.
The Eagles jumped out early on a Tyler Jordan 64-yard run on their third play from scrimmage, and Russell Mole added two scores in the second quarter as the Eagles ran for 253 yards in the first half.
Kasey Sanders ran for 114 yards and had two touchdowns in the second half as Stratford ended the game with 401 yards rushing.
The win gives sets up a Stratford-Tattnall Square rematch Friday night. Tattnall Square edged Stratford 7-3 in the regular season
