‘Dangerously cold,’ but is it going to snow in Macon? Here’s what the forecast says

Macon, it’s almost time for “bitterly cold conditions,” but is it time for snow?
Although parts of North Georgia are currently under a Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Warning for freezing rain and frigid air, Middle Georgia is also seeing some winter weather.
Macon and other parts of the area are under a Hazardous Weather Outlook for a mix of rain, sleet and “a light glaze of ice,” according to the National Weather Service.
Snow is not in the forecast for Macon, but The Weather Channel forecast does predict a mix of ice and rain to hit around noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Tuesday night through Wednesday will bring another blast of “dangerously cold conditions” with wind chills of minus 5 degrees throughout the area.
A Wind Chill Warning was issued for Monroe county and other parts of the area, and will remain in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday. The area could see gusts of freezing wind up to 20 mph.
How cold will it get in Macon?
Temperatures Tuesday night could dip as low as 18-19 degrees and the high on Wednesday is predicted to reach only 45 degrees.
