These Georgia restaurants rank among the most romantic places to eat in US
If you’re searching for the best spot to have your next date night, you may not have to travel far.
That’s because seven restaurants in Georgia rank among the nation’s most romantic places to have a meal, according to a new list from the reservation website OpenTable. The eateries earning recognition:
- Bones, Marcel, Poor Calvin’s and Canoe restaurants in Atlanta
- Frankie’s The Steakhouse in Duluth
- Alligator Soul and Elizabeth on 37th restaurants in Savannah
To come up with the findings, OpenTable studied more than 12 million reviews that verified users shared online. The results include eateries that offer “world-class cuisine, attentive (but never intrusive) service, and a unique ambiance,” officials said in a blog post last month, just ahead of Valentine’s Day.
“America’s 100 Most Romantic Restaurants 2022 showcases those spots that make it easy for diners to connect and create amazing memories,” OpenTable said.
Each of the ranked Georgia restaurants earned at least 4.8 stars out of 5 as diners praised their dishes and customer service on the OpenTable website.
In Atlanta, Bones and Marcel serve steakhouse fare, while Poor Calvin’s puts an Asian-inspired spin on traditional Southern foods. Canoe offers fish, lamb and other dishes along a riverfront, its online menu shows.
Northeast of Atlanta, Frankie’s The Steakhouse in Duluth “boasts an upscale traditional steakhouse menu paired with a distinctive Italian twist,” according to its OpenTable page.
And in Savannah, the reservation website said restaurants Alligator Soul and Elizabeth on 37th focus on serving quality food in comfortable settings.
Restaurants in the Peach State aren’t strangers to receiving national recognition.
Last month, Yelp named five Georgia eateries among the nation’s 100 best restaurants for 2022.
In another recent ranking from OpenTable, two Atlanta restaurants were named top places to eat in the United States, McClatchy News reported.
On the latest list, restaurants in neighboring states also earned top honors. The qualities that were considered for each business included overall ratings, the volume of customer reviews — and of course, the “romance factor,” CharlotteFive reported.
