Woman plans special trip with grandson after huge OH lottery win. ‘Just breathe’
An Ohio woman is planning a special trip with her grandson after winning a huge lottery prize.
The Cincinnati woman played the Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 50X and hit the jackpot, according to the Ohio Lottery.
“I would’ve been happy with $10,000,” she told lottery officials.
But it was much more. The woman won $500,000 on the game that costs $10 per ticket.
“When I kept scratching, I was like ‘okay, breathe, just breathe,’” she said, according to a May 30 news release from the Ohio Lottery.
The woman, who couldn’t believe she won, said “I’m very elated,” lottery officials said.
After taxes, she’ll take home $360,000.
She said she is going to use her winnings to pay bills, invest, and set up a trust for her grandchildren, and she’s “planning to take her grandson to Disney World,” per the release.
