A local student’s sleek car creation earned him first place in the 2017 Drive for Design Contest. Davis Kunselman, who just graduated from Mount de Sales, won for his design of a futuristic Dodge vehicle.

The contest, sponsored by the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles U.S. Production Design Office, was open to students in grades 10-12. Among his prizes, Kunselman will be able to attend a two-week summer automotive design course at Lawrence Technological University. He also will receive passes to a black tie event in Michigan, a three-day trip to Michigan and an Apple MacBook Pro.

Earlier this spring, Kunselman was named one of three winners in the Car Design News/General Motors Interactive Design Competition. He designed a 2030 Chevrolet Adventure Vehicle concept.
