Deputies investigate armed robbery at Macon gas station. What we know

Bibb County deputies are investigating a Monday morning armed robbery at a gas station on Chambers Road in Macon.

An individual wearing dark clothing went to the Circle K at 4775 Chambers Road “brandishing a firearm and demanding money” around 5:46 a.m. Monday, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

“The suspect fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash,” BCSO said. “There were no injuries reported.”

The incident is under investigation. Deputies said additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
