A report released by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office described what allegedly occurred in the stabbing death at the Macon Inn last week.

Michael Foster II, 33, the man who died after being stabbed June 18, had experienced a mental breakdown before the incident at the Macon Inn, 1044 Riverside Drive., according to the incident report from the BSO. He had a mental disability and was staying at the property after being released from jail.

Foster was running around the property naked holding a pillow, the incident report said. The manager of the Macon Inn talked to him, then took him back to his room. The manager told deputies that “everything was good until he started opening and slamming the door closed while standing there nude,” according to the incident report.

The manager tried to get Foster to put his clothes on. While the manager was sitting underneath a tree, they noticed that a man — alleged to be Quatravious Le’Chelton Napier, 26 — went into Foster’s room, then left and slammed the door shut, according to deputies.

Napier allegedly then returned to his room at the end of the building, then left the property.

Deputies said in the incident report that the maintenance man noticed there was blood on the floor. Foster opened the door and told the maintenance man that he had been stabbed.

Deputies found Foster “laid across the bed, supine position, and had shallow breathing with a white sheet over his lower half,” according to the incident report.

“(Foster) had his hand on his chest and a deep laceration on the left side of his neck,” deputies said.

Foster was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

As of Friday, Napier had not been arrested. He is Black, 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighs approximately 180 pounds, according to BSO. He has a cross tattoo on his forehead.

The stabbing is under investigation. Deputies urge anyone with information to contact BSO at 478-751-7500 or Investigator Joanna Stokes at 478-360-5567.
