Argument leads to stabbing death of man at a Macon motel, officials say

A 33-year-old was fatally stabbed during an argument Thursday afternoon at the Macon Inn on Riverside Drive in Macon.

Michael Foster, 33, was taken to Atrium Health Navicent, where he was pronounced dead at 4:48 p.m., according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

Deputies were dispatched at 3:30 p.m. to a report of a person who had been stabbed during a “verbal altercation,” according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.
