Macon twins plead guilty to lesser charges in 2021 deadly shooting at Circle K
A pair of twins connected to a shooting that killed a man in front of a Macon gas station have been sentenced, according to court records from last week.
Divinity Taylor and Divine Taylor, 24, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter connected to a shooting death that killed Brandon Washington on April 29, 2021. He was shot outside his car at the Circle K store at 6205 Zebulon Road, according to previous Telegraph reporting.
The Taylors’ murder and aggravated assault charges were dismissed as a result of their guilty plea, court records show. Divinity Taylor was additionally indicted for possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony, which was dismissed as well.
Divinity Taylor will serve five years in prison, followed by 15 years of probation. Divine Taylor will serve 10 years, followed by 10 years of probation.
Divinity Taylor was fined $5,000, while Divine Taylor was fined $6,000, according to their sentencing sheet.
