The suspect in Thursday’s aggravated assault on Watson Boulevard has been identified, according to a Friday news release from the Warner Robins Police Department.

WRPD said Shemaiah King, 43, allegedly “produced a knife and assaulted” a relative after an argument in a Dunkin’ Donuts at 3111 Watson Blvd. King then left in the victim’s vehicle.

Police located the vehicle and began a pursuit. The Houston County Sheriff’s Office was in the area and “utilized their vehicle to strike the vehicle King was driving to end the pursuit and the continuing threat to the public,” the news release said.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition. King and the officers were not injured.

King was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, family violence, aggravated assault, criminal interference with government property, criminal damage to property in the first degree, possession of a knife during the commission of a crime and “various traffic-related charges,” the news release said.
