Warner Robins cops chase, arrest suspect in Thursday aggravated assault

A person suspected of an aggravated assault incident in Warner Robins Thursday morning was arrested, according to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department .

WRPD responded to an aggravated assault in the block of 3100 on Watson Boulevard Thursday morning. Upon arrival, “officers learned that the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle,” the news release said.

Officers pursued the suspect along Watson Boulevard until the suspect crashed, the news release said. The Houston County Sheriff’s Office assisted the police department and was at the scene of the crash .

The suspect was arrested. The victim was transported to a local hospital and was found to be in stable condition.

The identity of the suspect and the specifics of the aggravated assault are unclear. Mandy Stella, spokesperson for Warner Robins, said that additional information would be released later .
