A 20-year-old was arrested and charged with fatally shooting three adults in Macon Sunday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Another suspect was also possibly involved, according to Sgt. Christopher Williams, a public information officer for the BCSO.

Charleston Burnett, 25; Jordan Gardner, 25; and Willie Cain, 26, were killed in a shooting around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Moseley and Cedar avenues, the sheriff’s office said.

Julius Milner, a 20-year-old Macon man, was initially identified as a “person of interest,” deputies said in a news release.

The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Milner and took him to the BCSO’s Criminal Investigation Division for “further investigation,” deputies said.

He was charged with three counts of murder and five counts of aggravated assault, according to the BCSO’s news release.

Milner was taken to the Bibb County Jail Monday, but was not incarcerated there by Wednesday, according to Williams.

“His bond was denied by (Macon-Bibb County) Magistrate Judge Brenda Youmas on February 25, 2026,” Williams told The Telegraph. “He’s being held at another Law Enforcement Center. That location is confidential.”

Milner was incarcerated somewhere else “to separate certain suspects,” Williams said. “That’s common practice.”

“It’s possible” another suspect was involved in the triple homicide, he said.

The sheriff’s office denied to share which jail Milner was transferred to.

“It’s to protect him, the investigation, the trial process,” Williams said.

This incident was one of eight separate shootings over the weekend in Macon, authorities said.

The sheriff’s office confirmed only one other person had been charged in connection to one of these incidents. A man was arrested after he allegedly “attempted to break into his estranged wife’s home and was shot” Saturday around 12:30 a.m., deputies said. He received non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies urged anyone with tips to call the sheriff’s office at 478-751-7500, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
