The victim, Shavis Adams, was taken to a hospital where he died, deputies said.
Thirty minutes later, just over a mile away, a 17-year-old boy “was shot while walking down the street,” a news release from BCSO said.
The incident happened on the 1600 block of North Atwood Drive.
He was taken to a hospital and listed in “stable condition,” deputies said.

Around midnight, three people were shot while in a home, the BCSO said.
“Someone fired shots into the home” on the 700 block of Key Street, a news release said.
The victims were a 7-year-old boy, 18-year-old man and 24-year-old man.
Paramedics treated them at the scene, and they were hospitalized in stable condition, according to the sheriff’s office.
About an hour and a half later, and two miles away on the 1200 block of Holt Avenue, another home was shot .
“Shots were fired into a home striking a 17-year-old male,” deputies said.
The teenager was taken to the hospital with “non-life threatening injuries” and was ”in stable condition,” deputies said.
Three adults were killed around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, on the intersection of Moseley and Cedar avenues, the BCSO said.
Charleston Burnett, 25; Jordan Gardner, 25; and Willie Cain, 26, were shot and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
Another three hours passed before two women were shot in a vehicle.
“Two females were injured when someone fired shots into their vehicle as they were attempting to pass another vehicle,” deputies said.
