Two people arrested in connection to west Macon killing, sheriff says.
Two people were arrested Wednesday in connection with the Oct. 5 death of 16-year-old Camron Williams, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The two people were identified as a 17-year-old and 19-year-old Quintin Terrence Moore Jr.
Both are being investigated as suspects in the death of Williams and have been charged with murder. They are being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies found Williams lying unresponsive with a gunshot wound in a driveway in the 5000 block of Soldad Court in west Macon after responding to a call that someone had been shot.
Emergency services tried to help him, but he was declared dead on scene by Deputy Coroner Richard Robertson.
The sheriff’s office did not disclose what led to the shooting, and the incident was still under investigation Thursday. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
