FBI announces men wanted for drug crimes in Macon have turned themselves in. What we know.

The FBI Atlanta Field Office announced Wednesday that three fugitives the agency sought the public’s help in locating have turned themselves in, according to a news release.

The three men — Leroy Mintz, 29; Devonta Jackson, 30; and Trayvon Simmons, 28 — were wanted on federal charges stemming from a 2023 investigation into cocaine and crack cocaine distribution in Macon. They were indicted alongside nine other defendants, who were previously apprehended.

The men were wanted on charges including conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Two of the men turned themselves in to the federal courthouse in Macon; the third turned himself in to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, according to the release.
