Teen arrested in Columbus weeks after fatal shooting in west Macon, deputies say

A teenager was arrested two weeks after an alleged murder occurred on Log Cabin Drive, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The teen was the second suspect arrested in connection to the shooting that left 26-year-old Keshon Knolton dead on Dec. 8.

Seventeen-year-old Donathan Latrell Hill of Fort Valley was arrested at a home in Columbus just before 11 a.m. Friday, deputies said in a news release. He was wanted in Bibb County in connection to the death of Knolton.

He was taken back to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office’s investigation headquarters, then to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Hill was being charged with felony murder and held without bond, deputies said.

Hill was also shot during the incident and left in stable condition.
