Third teen arrested in east Macon homicide on Warpath Road

A third teen is in custody in the shooting death of 16-year-old Kendrick Davis late Tuesday.

At about 10 a.m. Monday, the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Damarkis Jamicheal Hammonds, 19, of New Clinton Road, at a residence in the 700 block of Tidewater Circle in Baconsfield.

Hammonds is charged with murder in the death of Davis, who was found mortally wounded after 11 p.m. Tuesday near the corner of Warpath and Manson roads in east Macon.

Several shell casings littered the pavement near where Davis was lying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds.
