Laundromat worker accused of planning Splash & Dash armed robbery
The armed robbery of a Macon laundromat was an inside job, Bibb County sheriff’s deputies say.
Splash & Dash employee Coretta Leveretta Patrick, 47, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with armed robbery and theft by taking in Saturday’s holdup.
Patrick, who lives in an apartment on Mercer University Drive, is accused of helping plan and execute the robbery with two unidentified black male suspects.
Just before 11 a.m. Saturday, the gunmen demanded cash, got the money and ran away.
One was wearing a black mask, black coat, blue jeans and gloves and the second robber was wearing a black hat, black jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt underneath, light colored jeans and white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information in the case is urged to call for an investigator at 478-751-7500 or phone anonymous tips to Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
